Trust Services

At its simplest, a trust is an arrangement whereby property or assets are transferred from one person (the ‘settlor’) to another person (the ‘trustee’) to hold the property for the benefit of a specified list or class of persons (the ‘beneficiaries’). An express trust is created by way of a trust deed which evidences the creation of the trust, sets out the powers and duties of the trustees in holding the trust assets and outlines the rights of the beneficiaries.

Due to our independence and extensive knowledge in both setting up and overseeing all manner of trust structures, we are ideally positioned to act as trustees and to provide a high level of service in the daily management of the trust structures. Whether acting on behalf of individuals, families or corporate entities, our clients can be assured that we will provide a comprehensive range of trust services, tailored to their specific needs.

We work with our trusted list of contacts for the provision of banking and investment facilities, legal advice and tax advice, where required. We also understand that clients may already have their own trusted advisors and we are equally pleased to work with these too.

Our management team have experience acting as trustee on a variety of types of trusts and continue a legacy with almost 30 years of uninterrupted trustee services, many of our original clients remaining with us today.

We provide an administration team comprised of Trust & Estate practitioners (STEP) and support staff who are adept at managing trust assets, in accordance with the terms of the principal trust instrument and liaising with various trust parties, including beneficiaries and protectors (where required), as well as 3rd party advisors including investment managers.

Our qualified accounting team has the extensive knowledge and capability to provide a range of services which includes bookkeeping, management and annual accounting, tax compliance and a sound knowledge of the applicable regulatory framework.

Our regulated services include the provision of a professional corporate protector, should this be required.
