What sector do you work in and have you any thoughts to share about the industry right now?
I work in the administration department with focus on completing our client companies’ annual returns and administering Freeport’s receivables function. I have worked in the industry and Freeport for over 20 years and in that time, there have been large scale changes, especially to regulatory requirements and the professionalism of services provided.
What aspects do you love about your job and the company?
I joined Freeport in 1998, I like working in an office environment and cultivating long term relationships with clients. The company focuses on providing a high standard of service which is both personal and professional, which I find fulfilling.
What skills are you currently working on?
The industry went through wholesale changes during the lockdown in the Isle of Man and I have been working on my computer skills due to a greater amount of work being processed digitally.
What are your passions outside of work?
My husband and I keep a small paddock and we keep a range of sheep and Shetland ponies, which I tend to daily.
Finally, what is your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?
After a day at work, I like to unwind by grooming our Shetland ponies, a great way to mentally unwind!
